San Sebastián, Spain

Upon arrival, we were antsy to get to the beach so we ventured out on our own to get a taxi. After 20 minutes of not seeing a single cab on the streets,we walked back to get in the taxi line at the train station. We checked into Hotel Donasti; best hotel yet. It is an adorable 8 room cottage styled hotel. We took a 5 minute cab ride to La Concha Playa, where we soaked up the sun from 3:30-8:30 p.m. The sun didn't go down until 10:30pm! After the beach, we had our first experience with tapas and sangria in the plaza.  We were exhausted from the night before so we called it an early night. We slept in until 11:00am the next morning---I guess we were tired. We got ready and took a bus to the center of town. We shopped, we ate, we drank and met some law school friends from Chicago. We joined these new friends for dinner and dancing until the early morning. This caused us to oversleep and missed the 8:45 train that we had planned to take to Madrid. We are now sitting, luggage in hand, at a cafe waiting for the 3:00 train to Madrid...
